The mailbag arrived at FootballCynic's humble abode this week and one letter stood out - a letter in a red envelope. The letter was from someone who calls himself Tony from Pease Pottage, although he admits he is not really Tony. It reads:

Dear Football Cinic (sic)

Some of your material is quite funny but why oh why do you keep picking on our humble club in Sussex. We love our football just as much as people like yourself who probably support Manchester United or Arsenal (Ed: Wrong!). In fact, you probably support Arsenal, as you seem inarticulate and never rubbish Arsenal. (Ed: What about Wenger's appearances?).

Anyway, the nonsense about Pease Pottage Village playing in Europe is just cheap humour against a club that is having a hard time this year. Everyone at this Club (Ed: Attendance 26?) wants to see this Club go up and up. If you think no one has noticed your nonsense, you will be surprised how much it has offended.

An apology would be welcome and an assurance that this nonsense will stop.
