FootballCynic scoops Football Blog of the Year Award

FootballCynic was delighted to step up on the rostrum at the 2008 Football Blog of the Year Awards. Not only did FootballCynic.com win the 'Best Newcomer' award, it also swept away all challengers for the presitgious 'Sitting on the Blog Award' for the most thoughtful blog as well as the 'Football Blog of the Year Award'. In FootballCynic's acceptance speech, he thanked Pease Pottage Village, Kevin Keegan, Derby County, Askern Welfare and all the team in the office. He also thanked the evening's only sponsor, FootballCynic.com. Invited guests who were unable to attend included Cristiano Ronaldo and Bobby Charlton of Manchester United, HM Queen the great Pele and Jan Tomaszewski, the ex-Polish keeper who was dubbed "The Clown" by Brian Clough. Next year's awards are scheduled to be held in Surbiton Library on June 10th 2009.
