Football Rumours
Thank goodness the transfer window is boarded up on August 31st, so that we can stop being bombarded with nonsense. Of course, unlike FootballCynic who is often seen in the office on Sunday to assist his huge team at FootballCynic HQ, the FA likes to observe the day of rest and has extended the window to Monday.
While the likes of lowly Barnet quietly go off and sign budding stars like Jeremy de Magalhaes, we are forced to hear about Barry, Lampard, Arshavin and the rest – and, of course, we don’t really care. In fact, no one does much, except the agents and, we suppose, the players themselves. Of course, the whole rumours business has mushroomed in recent years and silly websites like www.football-rumours.com are visited by lazy journos who need something to fill the column inches.
So, FootballCynic is ready to make two announcements next week, which will hopefully not be “moderated out” by www.football-rumours.com, so that we can see whether we can hit the tabloids. First of all, we will pick on a failing Chelsea player (where is Winston Bogarde when you need him) to say that he is going to Chester City (currently the least successful team if you ignore points deducted) on loan to resurrect his career. Then, we will post about an unheard of player from the same team going to Chelsea for a huge fee. Yes, it’s ambitious, but at our FootballCynic.com we like a fight. So, keep a look out.

So, why do you pick on Jeremy? He's one of the better kids out there. Maybe, he'll join Chelsea soon!!
