The hate campaigns
The injury to Carvalho has caused havoc at Chelsea. We all know that "I hate Ronaldo" was the most popular google after England's game with Portugal in 2006, but what about the others playing for the big two. At FootballCynic HQ, the staff have worked tirelessly to find out the "I hate" hits of each of last week's starting teams for Chelsea, Manchester United and the league's basement club, Luton Town. So, here's the results -
Chelsea - Cech (92), Bosingwa (1), Alex (4570), Terry (1560), Cole (947), Obi (332), Kalou (6), Ballack (116), Lampard (279), Malouda (7), Drogba (540).
Manchester United - Van der Sar (8), Neville (111), Ferdinand (38), Vidic (6), Evra (15), Ronaldo (3320), Fletcher (104), Andersen (7), Park (333), Tevez (73), Berbatov (39)
Luton Town - Logan (1230), Gnakpa (0), Davis (315), Worley (0), Spillane (4), Keane (656), Emanuel (19), Hall (305), Jarvis (225), Pugh (1), Martin (895)
Now, the totals here come out as Chelsea (8450), Manchester United (4054), Luton Town (3650). What does this show us? Well, maybe leaving out Rooney was a shrewd move by Sir Alex and we must question whether Scholes is really injured. On the other hand, Alex is nothing short of a major liability. There are some surprises though. The recently dismissed Vidic only scores 6, Ballack a mere 116 and harmless Park a thumping 333. As for Logan in Luton Town's goal, we are flabbergasted. Mention must be made, of course, of the two golden boys at Luton Town, Claude Gnakpa and Harry Worley. Regrettably, we will now spoil this as we don't believe there are perfect footballers. I hate Gnakpa. I hate Worley. Done. Below, Claude demonstrates his skills.
