No double faults at Wimbledon

FootballCynic doesn't waste too much scanning the results of the elite. It's interesting that most teams in the Premiership can still easily go down, particularly if they appointed Tony Adams as their manager. But, the chatter in the marble halls of footballcynic.com is not filled with the excitement of Blackburn Rovers drawing 0-0 at Middlesbrough. The big news this weekend is undoubtedly the rise of AFC Wimbledon to the top of the Blue Square Conference South. If they hold this place, they will be one leap next season from League 2. Yesterday, they defeated Chelmsford City 3-1 in front of 4690 fans to leapfrog their opponents and hit top spot. And what happened to their old friends from MK Dons? Well, they won 5-3 at Cheltenham - the crowd though was a meagre 3681. It must time for MK Dons to move on to become Brent Cross Keynes.
