Henley Town enjoy their away days
Supporters of Henley Town were invited to a crisis meeting last week. The subject was the club's finances caused by a lack of matches during the hard winter. A financial crisis in Henley? Surely not. However, there seems to be a bigger crisis on the field, as Henley Town of the Hellenic Division 1 East have the most extreme home-away results in the country. They are still yet to register a home win having scored only 4 times on their own ground, the curiously named Invesco Perpetual Triangle, but away from home they have won 7 of their 11 games, thumping in 30 goals in the process. It's hard to explain the reasons, but maybe their patchy home form is connected to the riotous scenes in their clubhouse. Here's a picture from last season's 2008 Presentation Evening - it goes under the caption "Dave Hobbs and Michael Percival...having fun". Michael was Reserves player of the year. This week lowly Bisley Sports come to town. FootballCynic tips them to be the first victims.

Christ, Footballcynic. I thought for a moment you had caught me on camera on a drunken night. Lady Knobhead says I look a doppelganger for the man grappling with the taleented reserve player in the green. Maybe I disappeatred into the Invesco Perpetual Triangle without remembering it.
