Too easy Mr Cynic! Each one is half a comedy duo - the others being (clockwise) Cannon, French, Smith & Morecambe. (FootballCynic writes: Yes, indeed, too easy, but nonetheless a splendid effort, ringworm. A tough Quiz no.3 may appear sooner than you think).

Is the connection voices? Ron spoke in such a growly way that you couldn't hear him, Vinnie spoke in a sentences of two or three words, Dennis Wise always talks rubbish and Alan Ball spoke at a pitch that only animals were able to hear. No? OK. (FootballCynic writes: A fine effort, Nancy and/or Darren, but regrettably the wrong answer. I like the comment about Vinnie speaking in sentences of two or three words. When the sentences do stretch to four words, two of the words are the same).

I think the connection is VRAD, which stands for virtual reality aided design.
V=Vinnie, R=Ron, A=Alan, D=Denuis. (FootballCynic writes: Eh?)
