The big shuffle of non-League clubs in the so-called Pyramid system is still being negotiated as clubs are threatened with extinction for financial reasons or have grounds that are not up to scratch. Forest Green Rovers may avoid the drop from the Blue Square Premier again as inspectors look at Northwich Victoria's ground. The further you go down the pyramid the more complicated it gets.
Ashford Town (Middlesex) - not to be confused with the Ashford Town in Kent - were due to be relegated to the Ryman League North after a poor season, but it seems that the FA are considering a sideways move to the Zamaretto Southern Premier League, as boundaries are changed to accommodate promoted teams, relegated teams and disappearing clubs. This would mean that Ashford Town (Middlesex) would have to travel as far as Truro City next season. Ashford Town (Middlesex) are one of the worst supported sides in the Ryman League and claim they could not afford such travel and may agree to play in the Zameretto North Division.
