Day of the New Lawn

As gardeners tend their summer lawns, two other lawns were the hot topic in the football world. First of all, it has been confirmed that Blue Square Premier football (now to be called Blue Square Bet Premier football) will continue at Forest Green Rovers who play at the New Lawn. Despite finishing in a relegation spot for the second successive year, they can this year thank Salisbury City for failing to pay HM Government in a timely manner. In fact, the FA has relegated the Wiltshire club two divisions for failing to meet a deadline. As Forest Green Rovers' fans celebrate, Dan Taylor from Sutton Coldfield is getting ready to celebrate something it would seem, as he has put down a new lawn. It's not just any lawn - it's in his living room. As he says "I put some flags up and I put some bunting up but I looked around the room and I just thought something was lacking." FootballCynic wonders whether it is something else that was lacking.
