2010-2011 season kicks off with a bang
Fed up with the 2009-2010 season and the World Cup? Well, you can now indulge in the 2010-2011 season and forget England's shameful performances of last season. Tonight, the Champions League kicks off when Santa Coloma of Andorra take on Birkirkara of Malta in the first two fascinating legs.
The game has caused John Borg, Birkirkara's Vice President to get excited. The waterlogged Santa Coloma pitch has meant that the Maltese cannot train on the pitch. As the club's website explains, Borg is venting his anger "with the UEFA delegate in a meeting convened on purpose to discuss this matter". The website further explains "Also, the laying of the rolls of the new grass is not yet finalised, and will continue tomorrow". It all sounds a bit late to be laying a pitch. On the following night when there is no World Cup action, football fans can look forward to Tre Fiori from San Marino entertaining the unpronounceable Rudar Pljevlja of Montenegro. After that, the Europa League kicks off with many games including Dnepr-Transmash Mogilev's trip to Laci.

Looks like they know how to party in Andorra. (FootballCynic writes: Pay attention. This is the Maltese celebrating. In Andorra, they go absolutely mental when they win the league)

Of course, silly me. As if people in Andorra would dress like that.
