Owls don't fall for Government prank

Officials at Sheffield Wednesday backed the new Government coalition this week. "It's great to see a Government with a sense of humour. It's what the country needs in these difficult times", continued a Sheffield Wednesday spokesman. It appears that a demand for £500,000 in unpaid taxes was sent by HMRC this week to the club. However, when the chairman called the HMRC, he told everyone to relax as a HMRC official admitted that they were "only winding them up". A wise owl, indeed. Expect a man in a suit to arrive at Hillsborough next week.

Would that be a man arriving at Hilsborough in an owl suit? (FootballCynic writes: FootballCynic isn't sure that the Government's new campaign called The Big Laugh will have a budget for officials wearing owl suits.)
