Corby boss may have to resign after insulting elephants
Graham “Jukebox” Drury, the manager of Corby Town, has landed himself in hot water after off-camera comments were being spread around on Twitter and YouTube. Sian Massey, the assistant referee, at the centre of the Andy Gray saga is due to referee the Corby Town v. Eastwood Town fixture this week in the Blue Square Bet North league.
"I don't mind whether it's a man, woman, or even an elephant refereeing a game of mine - as long as they do it properly”, Jukebox was heard to say.
The comment about elephants has upset members of the British Zoological Society. Their president, Mr C. Lyon, explained “Elephants are very sensitive fellows. An intelligent male elephant would feel insulted if he was to hear about this. He would know that an elephant on a football pitch is preposterous and could result in deaths of players”. The president continued “However, male elephants do know that female elephants really don’t understand the offside rule properly”.
Jukebox was unavailable for comment today, but is thought to be considering his tenuous position at Corby Town.

OOOOOPPPPSSSS - I can't remember!!! I really shouldn't post after 4 big glasses of wine after work. Anyway, I understand the offside rule whereas Jason in my office does not! Off the side of the pitch OMG no! (FootballCynic writes: FootballCynic thinks you should encourage Jason to post comments on here too. FootballCynic also heard that Jason.)

I asked Mrs. Ringworm what were the implications of the 2005 changes to the offside rule and she replied "Opta stats show that in 1997-98 there were 7.8 offsides per game in the Premier League, after which there was a fairly steady decline to 6.3 in 2005-06. Since the new legislation came into force, there has been a further decline, to 4.8 so far this season". I replied "Are my eggs ready yet?" (FootballCynic writes: And were the eggs ready?)

A bit of a scramble in the goalmouth, but they came through in extra time. (FootballCynic writes: And finished by a real poacher, presumably)

Danielle insisted that I posted on this form. She is shocked that I do not know the legalities of the offside law. However, I would like to point out that this does not mean that I am gay and that I am very knowledgeable about 19th century artists and do not get confused between Manet and Monet. Another glass of wine, Danielle? (FootballCynic writes: It sounds as though FootballCynic should, for once, keep out of this one!)
